Autumn is almost here! 🍁🍂🍃Bronx Art House (BXAH) is reviewing the ongoing tour with Untapped Cities of the abandoned Ellis Island Hospitals!

On this hard-hat tour of the abandoned Ellis Island hospitals, I walked the hallways and explored the rooms with a Save Ellis Island docent guide. The JR wheat pastes are ephemeral being worn away from the elements that permeate the space through broken windows, missing doors and decaying walls. The tour becomes an interesting historical hide-and-seek as you pass rooms, windows, hallways, and staircases, seeking and being haunted by the appearances of people who existed hoping to find a better life and the doctors and nurses who treated them.The images represent complicated human stories worth remembering in our current moment. - Nicole Garvin
